Yaz

Yaz Tablet is a combination of Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol. It is used as an oral contraceptive to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It works by preventing the fertilization of the egg. Both drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol are synthetic female sexual hormones. They reduce the chances of pregnancy by suppressing the release of gonadotrophic hormones that trigger ovulation. They also reduce the thickness of inner lining of the uterus which makes it not suitable for the foetus to implant and grow and alters the thickness of cervical mucus which makes it difficult for the sperm to travel inside the uterus.
